Help Finding Accommodation
Accommodation is not available on campus but there are numerous opportunities close by for students to choose from.
Please refer to the accommodation section of our website if you’re in need of assistance.
Computer and Internet Access
Computer labs are located on level 1
You will automatically be given a username (your student ID) and password when you enrol at BIT. Your temporary password will be 'welcome'. When you first login you will be asked to enter a new password. Please do not share your password with anyone else. If you need to reset your password please see IT on level 2.
You're automatically credited with 100 print credits each semester. If you exceed these credits you will need to pay $5 for 100 more credits. Please see the finance section on level 1 to pay for more credits.
Job Assistance
BIT will help you find employment by providing assistance with your resume, cover letter, job search skills and interview techniques.
Please refer to the employment section of our website if you’re in need of assistance.
Counselling Support
Bit offers a free counselling service to students seeking advice or additional support particularly where it involves adjusting to a new cultural environment. When necessary, BIT can also provide referrals to external support services (legal, welfare services etc).
The referral is free of charge. Any service after the referral is at the student’s expense.

Student Orientation
In your first week at BIT you will be welcomed with an orientation service and tour of our facilities. We like to make sure that you are settling in nicely and are aware of how our college is run and what is expected of you. We will also provide you with information regarding life and study here in Melbourne.
