Entry Requirements
- Australian Year 12 equivalent
- English Language requirements
- BIT will not accept overseas students who would be under 18 years of age at the time of proposed commencement.
- Intending overseas students are advised that any school-aged dependants accompanying them to Australia are required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school.
How to Enrol
1. Complete application form (download here)
Include all supporting documentation – education certificates, etc.
2. Letter of offer is sent by the Institute
3. Student forwards fees and Acceptance Form to BIT
4. BIT issues Confirmation of Enrolment (e-COE)
5. Student commences visa process

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) exemptions may be granted to international students as a result of previous study. Reduction of units may shorten the course duration.

Student Visas
Applicants applying for a student visa to study at BIT will apply under the visa subclass 572 (Studying a Diploma or Certificate Course). Please refer to DIAC for information on student visa requirements and conditions.
Deferring, Suspending and Cancelling of Enrolment
Enrolled students can defer, suspend or cancel their enrolment in certain circumstances through the internal compalints and appeals process.
